Scarlett arrived December 31, 2009 at 6:47 pm - about five hours before the end of the fiscal year! (We were very grateful for the substantial tax deduction in 2010)! She weighed 7 lbs even and was 19 1/2 inches long. The labor, delivery and recovery process was relatively uneventful and smooth.

At American Fork Hospital, all babies born in December are swaddled and then placed in a stocking. Here, Scarlett is just two hours old and sporting a red hair bow.
